7 3 Fuel Bowl Heater

7 3 fuel bowl heater. Did not use the screws because 1996 fuel bowl holds heater in place with plastic piece in the center which is left hand threaded by the way. Not aftermarket oem manufactured by international. Once you remove the stand pipe you can reach into the bowl with a pair of needle nose pliers and disconnect the heater s electrical. Going over common problems with the stock fuel bowl on 7 3 powerstroke.
Pull the heater spade connector from the electrical connector from inside the canister. From the inside fo the fuel bowl push the bushing out of the fuel bowl using a small deep socket or other blunt. Fit in my 1996 f350 7 3 litre fuel bowl just fine. This can be a common problem and thoroughbred diesel shows you.
Used a crows foot to reach the plastic piece nut which is located in the bottom of the fuel bowl. Obs fuel bowls are different than super duty fuel bowls. Remove the fpr seat guide bushing. Contains diagram of heater placement in fuel bowl.
The black filter stand pipe must be removed by un screwing it from the fuel bowl. Be careful handling the wire. Much lower priced than other fuel bowl heaters. Well it could be a fuel bowl heater element that is fried.
To remove the element you will need a 7 8 crowsfoot wrench. Disconnect the fuel bowl heater electrical connector inside the fuel bowl. Having problems getting your ford 7 3l powerstroke started this morning. It may be easier to use a pair of needle nose pliers to reach this connector.
